Land and security are major issues obstructing investment in south Sudan.
Akuei Deng Akuei, Undersecretary of GoSS investment ministry, told the press today that it is difficult for investors to acquire land because the CPA says the communities are the owners.He added that his ministry is trying to liaise with the communities through the state governments and other authorities in order to get access to land for development.
Mr Akuie said security together with multi-taxation are other issues keeping investors away from the region.
Mr. Akuie also mentioned the lack of capital as one of the issues hindering investment in South Sudan.
