The 2011 Budget under debate in the South Sudan Legislative Assembly is to promote science oriented subjects.
Professor Barri Wanji who chairs the Assembly’s Economy Committee, told SCR News that many South Sudanese never appreciated the education system inherited from the North.He added that the debate of the budget signalled the shift from arts to scientific subjects at schools.
Prof. Wanji revealed that the 2011 budget makes provision for the construction of ten secondary technical schools and a poly-technical.
The head of the Assembly’s Economy Committee said the 2011 budget should be passed by the House next week.
