MALAKAL TOWN BACK TO NORMAL, SAYS GOVERNOR

The governor of Upper Nile who visited Juba this morning said Malakal is back to normality following clashes between JIUs at the beginning of the month.

Addressing the press, Simon Kun Puoch said Malakal was again calm and safe, Bakhita Radio reported.

He added that Upper Nile State is back to usual businesses.

Mr. Kun added that the town is under police control and movements resumed as usual.

The governor said he came to Juba to president Kiir on the referendum result and to meet the Upper Nile community in Juba to discuss security and developmental issues in the state.

Mr. Kun said he came to create unity among Upper Nile communities in Juba.
