EASTERN EQUATORIA RELEASES PRIMARY LEAVING RESULTS

Eastern Equatoria education authorities released yesterday the 2010 primary certificate examinations results and the best candidate hails from Torit One Primary School.

Education Minister Michael Lopuke Lotyam read out the names of the top ten candidates, including three from Chukudum Primary School in Budi, two from Dr. John Garang Memorial in Torit, two from St. Patrick in Magwi, one from Torit West and another from St. Kizito Primary School in Ikwoto.

The minister also presented the names of the best ten female candidates with four hailing from Dr. John Garang Memorial Schools and the rest from Loa, St. Teresa, Palwar, Iyire and Chukudum.

The ten best performing schools were from Magwi, projecting the County as the best in Eastern Equatoria state in matters of primary education.

Magwi County also produced the worst performing school in the state, Pogee Primary.

The minister says that the examinations were the first done under the new curriculum of South Sudan.
