Africa has developed an agricultural plan to boost agriculture by six percent every year, said an official.
Central Equatoria Minister of Agriculture Michael Roberto Kenyi told SCR News that Africa has come up with a Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program to boost agriculture in the continent by six percent every year.Mr. Kenyi said the program requires governments to allocate ten percent of its public spending to fund farmers.
He added that program encourages all farmers to stick to the principle of growing agriculture in the continent.
The Minister also said the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program urged each country to develop national development plan.
Mr. Kenyi added that there is need to consult widely between pubic and private sectors to develop state and national investment plans.
He said the plans will attract investors according to government’s policy.
