With the elections a few hours away, Ugandans are leaving South Sudan to take part in the democratic process which takes place every five years. The country will elect a new president and members of Parliament tomorrow.

SCR News visited Konyo Konyo Market where many Ugandans are engaged in trade and other services, and found some shops closed.

Those who were around said they stayed due to travel problems.

Seven candidates are contesting for president, including incumbent Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who has been president for 25 years now. This is his third term in office.

Although some Ugandans living in Juba support Mr. Museveni, others blame the president for rigging the polls.

They said that was one of the reasons why they did not participate in the elections back home.

A handful of Ugandans said Mr. Museveni should stay in power for a forth term because he improved security in the country.

Some 20 thousand Ugandans are living and working all over the ten states of South Sudan.
