Eastern Equatoria governor set up a team to investigate recent ethnic killings in Lafon-Lopa County.
Louis Lobong Lojore His appointed a five-member team to carry out the investigations, Emmanuel Radio reported.The investigation team was formed after three people were found dead in Lafon area along the Torit road.
The murders sparked off retaliation attacks, leading to the killing of another three people between Pari and Lopit communities.
The committee is to investigate the killings by interrogating the Lopit and Pari communities living around the scene of the crime and establish concrete facts and causes that led to the brutal killings.
The committee has one week to submit its findings and recommendations to the state government.
