The Land Policy draft was already given to the Government of South Sudan to be submitted for public consultation before reaching the Legislative Assembly.
The head of Land Commission Robert Ladu Luki told the press on Tuesday that the Land Policy draft was prepared after extensive consultations across the ten states of south Sudan and it is ready for public discussion.Mr. Ladu explained that once approved the Land Policy Act will be the main tool to revise the Land Act.
He added that the Land Act was approved before the Land Policy document to cater for the many land problems.
He added that the Land Act was a temporary and provisional measure until the land regime was approved by the Land Policy Act.
