Students coming from North Sudan should skip the Arabic pattern and resume their studies in English following the primary school programme of South Sudan.
This is the position David Lowela, from Central Equatoria Ministry of Education, shared with Bakhita Radio.The director general said the government will not reopen classes in Arabic for students coming from the North because it was phased out in South Sudan and replaced by the local programmes until grade six.
Rev. Lowela encouraged students to join English schools, saying that they will improve their language skills.
He advised returnee students not to lose hope because all of them will be enrolled in government schools.
