GoSS minister for general education is not sure whether south will have its own syllabus this year.
Michael Milly Hussein told SCR News today in Juba that his ministry is not ready to deliver a syllabus to schools in south Sudan.Mr. Milly said there was disagreement between the curriculum committee and World Bank which finances the project.
He explained that there was an intention to give British publisher Macmillan to print the syllabus but they shifted to another publisher which he declined to name.
Mr. Milly said South Sudan has no unified curriculum currently with different states using different programmes.
Yesterday, GoSS undersecretary for Higher Education George Justin Achor said the teaching programme for South Sudan was ready and the 2011 academic year will start with the new books.
