Eastern Equatoria governor called upon South Sudan citizens living in the diaspora to come home and join in the development of the new nation.
Louis Lobong Lojore made the call yesterday while addressing a gathering at his office in Torit after he returned from Juba where he attended the referendum results declaration, Emmanuel Radio reported.Mr. Lobong appealed to all Southerners still living abroad to come home.
He asked his ministers to attract investors to develop the new country that is yet to be declared as an independent nation.
Mr. Lobong said that government will not be able to employ all the people but private investors can create job opportunities and develop the economy.
The governor cautioned people against tribal violence, saying investors need a peaceful environment to conduct businesses.
Mr. Lobong said Eastern Equatoria state has all the resources and labour force to steer the region into an economically strong base.
