The Sudan Media Forum (SMF) resumed its activities in Juba after the Christmas and referendum break.
SMF is a non-profit informal group representing various stakeholders from print, broadcasting, and electronic media operating in Southern Sudan.The Directress of Bakhita Radio, Sister Cecilia Sierra, said the SMF started training local journalists in November last year using local resources.
Sr. Cecilia explained that the training is aimed at build the capacity of local journalists and help them learn their code of ethics.
The training is held every Saturday in Bakhita Radio premises.
SMF members meet every Friday to exchange views on issues related to the media.
