KIIR WON’T STEP DOWN AFTER REFERENDUM

GoSS President said he will not step down after the referendum because South Sudanese voted for him and he intends to continue to carry out his constitutional mandate.

Salva Kiir Mayardit warned those who have an eye on the presidency that he will not leave the office.

President Kiir added that he will continue to discharge his constitutional mandate at least until the end of his term.

He noted that the last six years prove that the SPLM is in south Sudan to complete the dream of all the fallen heroes and heroines.

President Kiir called upon the members of parliament to take the lead in fighting corruption to contribute to the development of a new south Sudan.

He made these statements during the reopening of Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly today in Juba.
