FREEDOM THE PRIZE FOR SOUTHERNERS, SAYS MP

A member of the Southern Sudan parliament said the government of South Sudan will offer freedom to its citizens as a reward for the job well done at the referendum.

Joy Kwaje Eluzai who chairs of the Committee of Culture and Information at the House, told Bakhita Radio that southerners will enjoy full freedom and dignity as the reward from the referendum if they chose secession.

She added that the citizens of southern Sudan will also enjoy development promoted by their government.

Mrs. Kwaje revealed that Southerners deserve appreciation and recognition for what they did in the referendum.

The referendum on South Sudan autonomy is being commended by local and international observers including the UN Security Council as free, fair, peaceful and transparent.
