Tonj Civil Hospital received an ambulance from the Warrap state ministry of health a week ago.
Peter Deng, who is the general medical assistant, told Bon Bosco FM that the ambulance is ready to serve the community.He added that the ambulance has no number plate yet but it can be used in case of emergency.
Mr. Deng said the hospital administrator will get the number plate from the Traffic Police as soon as possible.
Mr. Deng said there was a low number of patients because people went to their various polling centres.
He added that most of the patients who come for treatment were children under five years old suffering from malaria and diarrhoea.
Mr. Deng said the authorities will announce the ambulance’s phone number after getting the number plate.
The new ambulance will be at the service of patients in Greater Tonj.
