The referendum authorities at Yei River County said that three quarters of registered voters already took part in the polls in the area.

Fr. Simon Khamis Mabe, the public outreach officer, told Easter Radio over the phone that the voting processes in the payams of Yei River County was a success in the first three days.

Fr. Khamis said three quarters of the registrants have already cast their votes.

He asked those whose cards were lost to go to the referendum authorities or to the payam judges in order to be able to vote.

Fr. Khamis added that the polling centres in the town faced many more challenges than the ones in the countryside.
