The referendum staff at Juba University polling centre went without food for a day.
The polling staff yesterday received only water and soda, said Duku Francis, the head of the Juba University Referendum Centre One.He added that some officials were feeling sick from drinking too much water.
Mr. Francis said the police doing protection at his centre lack proper feeding and called upon the authorities to do something about the situation.
Also at Dr. Garang’s Mausoleum polling centre the staff lack proper feeding, according to the chairperson of the centre Ohisa Charles.
Both leaders called upon voters to turn up for voting.
They said the turnout has been impressive and peaceful.
