The ink voters will use to mark their ballots dries quickly and does not pose any problem.

This assurance was given yesterday by the head of Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau, Chan Reec, to SCR News.

Justice Reec said the ink is special and dries well.

He added that he got assurances that it will not pose any problem during the vote.

Justice Reec said there is no need to fold the ballot paper in a special way because there is no danger of marking both circles with wet ink.

Some SPLM officials feared that if the ballot paper was not folded first from left to right the ink from the fingerprint would mark both circles, rendering the vote null.
