A United Kingdom printing company won the bid to produce referendum ballot papers.
Beatrice Khamis Wani, a member of the Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau, told journalists this afternoon in Juba that the contract to print the ballot papers was awarded to Tall Security Group because it was the lowest priced and technically qualified company.Ms. Khamis added that the Referendum Commission is working with the company to ensure that the ballot papers are delivered on time.
Twelve companies, including two Sudanese, participated in the bidding that was closed on Sunday.
It is not clear where the printing and production of the ballot papers will be done.
