An official said registration in Kondokoro payam, Juba County, achieved its targeted number with only one to two percent of adults unregistered.
Franco Paul, Secretary for Kondokoro payam, told a gathering at Mononyik Boma that registration in his payam was completed, Bakhita Radio reported.Mr. Paul said the payam had four referendum centres: two in the island and to onshore.
He lamented lack of logistics to transport potential voters to the centres.
Mr. Paul called on the concern authorities to assist the registration officials offering them security.
Mr. Paul said that so far about 1300 people registered in Kondokoro payam.
He added that the referendum centres are open until Wednesday.
