Some 200 Children drawn from various parts of Tonj town, Warrap state, are enjoying a holiday camp.
The event held for the first time in Tonj is hosted by the local Catholic parish at Zahra Sisters’ Compound, Don Bosco FM reported.
Asunta Awoud Mayar, one of the 31 animators of the camp, said the event aims at empowering the participants with useful skills to improve their lives.
She added that the children were very happy to take part in it.
Daniel Non Wunkuel, another animator, said that 200 children registered to take part in the first ever holiday camp held in Tonj.
The participants Ð girls and boys aged between 6 and 13, spend the mornings learning skills and playing about the careers they want to follow when they grow up. The afternoons are reserved for ball games and other activities.
The two-week holiday camp concludes on December 15.
