Political advisor Martin Chol Machiech told the crowd that gathered yesterday in Rumbek to celebrate Aids World Day that traditionally young women waited until marriage before engaging in sex, Good News Radio reported.
Mr. Chol called on the youth to educate others about HIV AIDS due to their ability to learn faster.
Mr. Chol said the HIV AIDS pandemic is a social and health problem which renders so many children orphans.
He added that it also affected the economy, security and politics.
Mr. Chol called the AIDS pandemic a third world war due to the number of deaths it was caused so far.
He was speaking on behalf of the Governor Chol Tong Mayay.
