EASTERN EQUATORIA INVITES PRIVATE INVESTORS TO THE STATE

Eastern Equatoria governor extended an invitation to the private sector to invest in the state.

Louis Lobong Lojore announced the invitation during a dinner to celebrate the signing of a partnership agreement between a Kenyan hotelier company, Lake Bogoria Spa Resort, and the state government to manage Hotel Torit, Emmanuel Radio reported.

Mr Lobong said the state will provide a conducive investment environment including the legal framework and security.

Mr Lobong said the state will institute a commission to handle investment matters while respecting the interested parties.

Darius Mobe, Director of Lake Bogoria Spa Resort-Sudan, appealed to the state government to protect investors who venture into Southern Sudan at difficult times from those that will flock to the region after referendum.

Mr. Mobe prayed for peace to prevail during the referendum period.
