NO CARD NO VOTE, SAYS REFERENDUM CHIEF

People who lose their registration cards will not be able to vote in the referendum of self-determination for South Sudan.

The alarm was sounded today by the Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau Chairman at the weekly Press Forum organized by GoSS ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Chan Reec Madut said registered citizens who lost their cards will not vote.

Justice Chan added that at the Referendum Centre the most important data is the register serial number to find the voters in the books.

Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau deputy chairman Achier Deng added that the cards from the elections will no be valid in the referendum and people have to register again in order to take part in the vote of self-determination.

Dr. Deng reminded people that they will be able to vote only in the Referendum Centre where they registered.
