UPPER NILE FORMER INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE CAMPAIGNS FOR SEPARATION

An independent politician from Upper Nile conducted a political rally to encourage citizens to register for the referendum and vote for separation.

Yohannes Yor Akol, who run for Upper Nile governor as independent, told a big gathering at Garkuath Stadium in Malakal to take part in the referendum process and vote for the independence of South Sudan, Voice of Love reported.

Mr. Yor explained that the referendum is quite different from the elections.

He urged the audience to forget the pains and sufferings from the elections and vote wisely.

Mr. Yor told the Southerners to maintain peace and make a country of their own.

He told southern Muslims that their rights will be protected in the south like any other citizens in the country.

Mr. Yor then urged Muslims to register and vote for separation without fear.
