REFERENDUM PROCESS MEANT TO FAIL SOUTHERNERS, SAYS CHIEF

A paramount chief lamented that the referendum conditions are meant to fail southerners on their attempt to establish a sovereign state of their own.

Chief Dennis Dormalo Pundi is the paramount chief of Juba County. He told Bakhita Radio that the conditions for the referendum were very tough and that they were calculated to prevent southerners from achieving independent.

Mr. Dormalo explained that the processes are organized using military tactics and politically oriented.

Mr. Dormalo called on the people of southern Sudan not to overlook the referendum process, from registration to voting.

Registration for the referendum is going on well in Juba.
