Southern Sudan women expressed their willingness to produce more food if they are assisted to carry out the task.

Fifteen women were taken by the Government of Southern Sudan to Egypt to take part in rural agricultural development training.

Jenifer Kujang, representative of the women delegation, told Bakhita FM upon their arrival at Juba International Airport that they were excited after visiting farms in the desert in Egypt.

Ms. Kujang explained that women in Egypt were able to produce food in the desert, adding that they can do even more in south Sudan.

Mrs. Kujang said the women wanted to use the knowledge they received from Egypt to produce more food in the region.

She called on the government to assist women to produce more food.

The 15 women arrived yesterday after taking part in week-long training in Egypt.
