The Committee preparing Rumbek’s Third Diocesan Youth Congress met to make preparations for the event scheduled for December 17 to 19 at Holy Cross mission in Yirol.
Fr. Danielle Moschetti, one of the organizers, told Good News Radio that the congress is put together by the Mapuordit and Yirol missions.
He added that the meeting was a big step ahead towards a successful youth congress.
Bishop Caesar Mazzolari of Rumbek said the congress will bring together up to 1500 youths between the age of 15 and 25.
Bishop Mazzolari said the logistics are demanding but accommodation, food and prizes will be available for the participants.
He added that participants will return home with a banner bearing the theme of the Congress, which is, “Walking with Jesus towards Justice, Peace and Reconciliation.”
The second Youth Congress took place last December in the mission of Gordhim which was handed back to the Diocese of Wau in August.
