The United Nations will hold a ministerial meeting at the UN headquarters in New York next Tuesday.
Britain’s UN ambassador Mark Lyall Grant said it was critical that the UN Security Council retained a very close focus on Sudan in these critical months, Beverly Hills Website reported.Mr. Grant added that the international community would want to “reassert” the importance of the referenda being held on time and being peaceful and credible.
The ambassador said the Darfur conflict would probably also be discussed at the ministerial meeting.
