EASTERN EQUATORIA PREPARES IDPS REPATRIATION

Members of Parliament in Eastern Equatoria recommended to the state council of minister to form a committee to arrange for the repatriation of IDPs hailing from the region.

Speaker Ambrose Emmanuel Ocholimoi said the government of Southern Sudan has already released funds for the repatriation programme.

Deputy speaker Paul Napwon added that the state government should form the committee even before the money arrived so as to take immediate action.

Since last week that Eastern Equatoria State Legislative Assembly has been holding heated debates on referendum funds.

Yesterday, the MPs discussed a motion about corruption in Budi County, together with a proposed budget for the referendum and the policy statement from the minister of Parliamentary Affairs.
