GoSS ministry of Culture inaugurated yesterday the first documentation and archives centre in Juba to provide information to researchers and writers.

Trainees on achieves and documentation from the ten states and sponsors took part on the inauguration of an archives-tent to keep the memory of Southern Sudan.

GoSS minister for Culture and Heritage, Gabriel Changson Chang, told the participants that Southern Sudan Achieves were in bad shape due to improper storing facilities.

Mr. Changson said that the new centre would provide researchers and writers with the information they needed on the history of southern Sudan.

Mr. Changson urged supporters to recover historic and cultural artefacts that were taken out of South Sudan.

He said that the centre marked the first effort to preserve the archives of Southern Sudan.

Mr. Changson urged sponsorships to help build museums, and cultural centres to keep the historic and cultural heritage of the region.
