The second vice president of the Republic blamed the pro-Israel lobby for the US change of policy towards Sudan.
Ali Osman Mohammed Taha said Zionists are to blame for President Barack Obama’s policy regarding independence for southern SudanMr. Taha said Mr. Obama moved from supporting Sudanese unity to backing the referendum, Israel National News reported.
On Thursday, President Obama said the South Sudan referendum was one of US highest priorities.
He warned that millions of people could die if war were to break out in Sudan again.
Mr. Obama said preventing war would serve Western countries and Sudan, explaining that war would destabilize the region and strengthen terrorist.
