The parish priest of Khartoum cathedral urged faithful men and women to protect their archbishop in the aftermath of a failed attempt on Gabriel Cardinal Zubeir Wako one week ago.

Fr. John Dingi Martion asked the faithful, especially ex-army and police officers, to advice the Church on how to maintain security during gatherings that bring many people together.

Fr. Dingi told the congregation at St. Matthew’s cathedral that the Christians should protect all the bishops and the clergy, especially at these critical times.

He added that if the attempt on Cardinal Wako were a success Khartoum would have been in huge confusion.
