The Commissioner of Juba County paid an inspection visits to the water points at Jebel Nyoka, and the water bottling companies in the area.
Speaking to the press in Juba after the inspection, Thomas Peter Gore described the environment of the Jebel Nyoka water point as very unsatisfactory.The Commissioner asked the State Ministry of Health to arrest the situation of substandard environment around all water points to preserve public health.
Mr. Gore directed the authorities of the County Public Health to close down the water point at Jebel Nyoka until sanitary conditions were improved.
Juba has three treated water points, two in Juba town and the third next to ADRA in Munuki road.
