At least 30 members from different women’s organizations in Central Equatoria started today a three-day training on empowerment and the referendum.
The workshop is organized and facilitated by Eve Organization for Women Development.Executive Director Rita Martin told SCR News that her organization was helping women associations in Central Equatoria to wake up for the forthcoming referendum on self determination for the people of south Sudan and encourage their participation in the key exercise on self-determination.
Ms. Martin encouraged women in south Sudan to take a leading role during the referendum campaign in order to determine their future wisely.
She echoed that future generations would blame the present one for any negligence during the referendum vote.
The participants belong to Southern Sudan Women Association, South Sudan Widows Association and Terekeka Women Association among others.
