The survey is supported by the ministry of investment in the government of southern Sudan and USAID and directed by the Investment Climate Advisory Service of the World Bank Group.
Speaking during the occasion, Pillar Scanchez-Bella, one of the Doing Business Team members revealed that her Team is in Juba to help private sector to develop through drafting good policies.
Ms. Scanchez-Bella praised the government of southern Sudan for enacting some laws that guide businesses across the region.
Ms Scanchez-Bella explained that the Team will look at strategies of starting a business, registering property, enforcing contracts and protection of investors among other ten indicators for Juba.
The Doing Business Team revealed that the research to compile a comprehensive report for Juba based research would take up to six months.
At the moment Juba is the only city in the south where the research will take place. Other towns of southern Sudan would follow.
