The GOSS minister of Agriculture and forestry yesterday said the future of Sudan lies in agriculture. While addressing the agricultural implementing organizations in Yei, Dr. Anne Itto said one cannot build a nation and government that don’t guarantee is own food adding that oil is a temporary resource.
She said that in south Sudan no plan is good enough if food security is not considered affirming that nobody can practice democracy if they are hungry.
She said the ministry is going to change agriculture from hobby to business because many people have taken agriculture as a non viable business.
