MINISTER OF HOUSING ENTERS IN OFFICE

The newly appointed GoSS Minister of Housing and Physical Infrastructure entered in office today amid celebrations to welcome her.

Jema Nunu Kumba was appointed by GoSS president Salva Kiir Mayardit as new Minister of Housing. She takes over from Martin Ohuro Okerruk.

Addressing the press, Ms Kumba said the main mandate of her ministry is to provide affordable housing for the people of South Sudan.
She added that her ministry will also take care of proper sanitation in the region, and will work hand in hand with the private sector to achieve the goal of affordable accommodation.
During her speech to her staff, she advocated for cooperation and gender sensitivity.

The event was graced by Joseph Lagu, former President of the Regional Government of South Sudan, Anthony Lino Makana, GoSS Minister of Roads and Transport among others.
