KATOR FOOTBALL CLUB COMMEMORATES MASSACRED MEMBERS

Kator football club commemorated today the 1992 massacre of its members in Juba.

Over one hundred seven members of Kator football club were killed by Khartoum securities in 1992 during a peaceful demonstration against a dictatorial regime.

Talking to SCR News the Chairman of the club, Samuel Mading Kasua said that the members are remembered for their struggle for justice.
He explained how his club participated actively in the struggle for liberty in Southern Sudan and how the club is equally struggling now, like any Southerner, for the freedom of Southern Sudanese.

The occasion started yesterday with a prayer and was concluded today with a football match between Kator and Rembo Teams.
