Teachers strike will not affect finalist students very much

Teachers’ strike in Juba County over salaries payment delays will not affect finalist students, an official said.

Central Equatoria State Director for secondary schools, Moses Joseph Kiri, told journalists this morning that the strike in the County is going to affect the finalists students but not very much. Mr. Kiri added that currently secondary school finalists are receiving lessons.

Mr. Kiri assured that there will be solution to the problem after tomorrow’s meeting between the government and the strikers.

The meeting of teachers representatives and the government that was scheduled for today but it was postponed for tomorrow.

Teachers in Juba County are on strike since last week over delayed salaries.
