A County Commissioner made an abrupt visit to Kanyara Secondary School in Morobo County of Central Equatoria.
Press Secretary Moses Data told CRN via e-mail that Commissioner Moses Simon Soro advised the students to take education seriously by being punctual, working hard and obeying teachers and parents.He told the girls particularly that education was the only way to free them from the bandage of men and poverty.
The students complained about poor boarding facilities, including a leaky dormitory roof, and lack of beds, laboratory and library.
Mr Soro told the students that the County authority will do its best to assist the school.
He promised to lobby NGOs and the state and national governments for support to uplift the standards of Kanyara Secondary School.
