Women in Gidel organized food exhibition with representatives from different Chapels of Gidel Parish in the Nuba Mountains.
The ‘food display show’ focused on preparing sauce raising the awareness of women to cook different types of sauce, Voice of Peace reported.
A Comboni Missionary Sister Catherine told women that South Kordofan is rich with vegetables and fruits suitable for preparing sauce and food.
Sister Angelina Nyakuron of Mother of Mercy Hospital told the gathering that many vegetable leaves were rich in nutrients and can reduce malnourishment and other diseases.
She said she was surprised by some women who consider certain leaves inedible, saying they can cause malaria infections.
The show that was organized by Sister Catherine was attended by Kauda and Lugi Parishes representatives and Kumbur Payam authority.
