The youth of Gidel participated in two-day workshop at Sts Peter and Paul Parish of the Catholic Diocese of El-Obied on Thursday.
Parish Priest James William told Voice of Peace Radio that his parish wants to bring up the youth who are responsible morally.
Father William mentioned that workshop is the update of youth capacity as they keep on revising their ability by learning from each other.
Kukani Ibrahim, who facilitated the workshop said over 60 youth came together to learn about their roles and responsibilities in the community.
He adds that the youth also discuss the issues of school dropout and immoral behaviors that are unacceptable in the society.
Meanwhile Matta John, one of the participants, said he learnt a lot from the workshop and he expect more days next time.
Barsudan Kodi, another participant, mentioned that she learned the importance of respect to each other and especially parents.
The parish of Sts Peter and Paul is expected to hold another workshop in December to bring all youth together to continue discussing their successes and shortcomings in the society.
