People in the Nuba Mountains region have celebrated the formation of the new government of Sudan between the SPLM-N and Dham El-sarae.
The event at Kauda town’s ‘Freedom Square’, under Hieban County, gathered hundreds of people from all backgrounds to celebrate the formation of the new government of Sudan.
New government youth chairman from the Darfur region, Musa Tirab, told the crowd at the rally that the new Sudan should not be based on money.
Mr Tirab said that Sudan has been marginalised for so long, and it’s time that Sudan sets out to rule itself and that all the people of Sudan are equal.
Dham El-sarae representative in the Nuba Mountains region, Halim Adeen Saed, noted that the new government was formed to end marginalization in the country.
The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), under the leadership of Chairman Abdel Aziz Adam al-Hilu, and

Hamdan Dagalo of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), also known as Dham El Saree, have joined forces to form the so-called New Sudan.
Under the agreement, Hadam Dagalo is the leader of the New Sudan, and Adam al Hilu, the deputy leader of the New Sudan government.
The capital city of the new government is Nyala, located in western Sudan.
