Eastern Equatoria Governor, Louis Lobong Lojore, accompanied by three ministers of the state , travelled to Wau to attend the Great South Sudan Run peace marathon for Greater Bahr el Ghazal.
He says the Council of Ministers approved the trip because it is an opportunity for them to interact with other states, Radio Emmanuel reported.
“We had received an invitation from the Honourable governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal Honourable Sarah Cleto he invited me to attend Great Run South Sudan of greater Bahr el Ghazal an occasion which is going to take place in Wau on the 29th of this month, I did presented to the council of ministers of Eastern Equatoria they welcomed the invitation and bless the invitation and recommended that I should honour the invitation to go and represent the government and the people of Eastern Equatoria to that occasion and also nominated three ministers who would accompany me to go to Wau”, he explains.
Lobong discloses that they are trying to create relationship not only with Western Bahr el Ghazal but also with others states and see what the state can adopt from the tour.
“We are trying to create relationship between states not only western Bahr el Ghazal but also others, is also opportunity for me and the ministers accompanying me, is also part of study tour, we are going to see western Bahr el Ghazal and interact with their colleagues the other ministers and see what is that we can line and we can adapt in Eastern Equatoria here ,so this is the purpose of my going am going to represent the people of this state in that occasion and take their greeting and wishes to the people of western Bahr el Ghazal”, he says.
The Great South Sudan Run marathon in Wau is scheduled to take place on Sunday the 29th January 2022.
