Egyptian Irrigation to donate equipments to state government in Wau

Egyptian Irrigation in Wau is expected to give a number of equipments and vehicles to the Ministry of Roads and Bridges in Western Bahr el Ghazal State, reveals Engineer Khalil Mahmud, Egyptian Irrigation Deputy Managing Director in Wau.

He says they received a document from the Egyptian embassy in South Sudan regarding cooperation and collaboration with the state government.

Mahmud explains that the cooperation will include donation of equipments from the Egyptian irrigation to provide basic services to the local community in term of roads and bridges.

Director-General in the State Ministry of Roads and Bridges, David Jerome Outo mentions that the equipments have been in Wau for over 10 years with no regular operations.

Minister of Roads and Bridges, Dr. Mohammedein Abubakar Mohammedein says the visit aims at assessing the general conditions of the equipments.

He adds that, they will work hand in hand with Wau Municipality to make sure the city is clean and have good roads.

The officials made these remarks to Voice of Hope Radio on Monday in Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal State.
