The Co-Chairperson Joint Transitional Security Committee encouraged female soldiers in Toufogia Police Training Centre to prioritize their goals and avoid spoiling their opportunities to graduate.
Lieutenant General Wesley Welebe Samson warned the male soldiers against violating women’s rights within the training center.
He said anyone found violating the rights of women will be punished or suspended from the first batch of graduation.
The Head of JTSC in Malakal, Lieutenant General George Okot said COVID-19 pandemic has affected their activities in the training centre.
Another officer at the training center said the soldiers were forced to do other businesses to afford daily meals because of the dire humanitarian situation they are experiencing.
The officials were addressing the forces and the security mechanism bodies and other independent peace organisations during the three-day visit of the minister of defence to Malakal.
