Humanitarian situation still unstable in Malakal, says Apostolic Administrator

The humanitarian situation of people in Malakal is still not stable, says Apostolic Administrator of Malakal Catholic Diocese.
Monsignor Roko Taban Musa says other parts of the diocese are still undergoing challenges due to the conflict in the region, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
He confirms a relative calm and stability in other parts of Malakal because there are no more gunshots now compared to previous days of the conflict.
Still thousands of people are in UNMISS protection of civilian camps in Malakal, Rubkona and Bentiu, explains the Apostolic Administrator.
Monsignor Taban says church activities and evangelization is ongoing in Malakal despite challenges facing the church in the region.
The Apostolic Administrator cites challenges facing church including displacement of the faithful and those forced to the neighboring countries due to insecurity.
He adds that the movement of priests in the conflict-affected areas is a big challenge that obstructs evangelization in the Catholic Diocese of Malakal.
Apostolic Administrator Roko Taban Musa spoke to Radio Voice of Hope on his visit to the Catholic Dioceses of Wau last week.
