Catholic Bishop of Malakal Diocese appointed Fr Christian Carlasare as Vicar general with effect from 30 May 2020.
The new vicar will oversee implementation of the directives given by the Bishop to different offices of the Catholic Diocese.
Fr Carlasare will also be a moderator of the diocese to ensure unity, good coordination and collaboration between various offices.
He will also direct the life of the Church in all its territories and parishes
The new vicar is expected to follow diocesan secretariat and its offices regarding appointment of priests and relieving them in their duties.
