South Sudan AID Commission conducts HIV awareness campaign in Rumbek

South Sudan HIV Aid Commission is holding a four-day workshop in Rumbek, Lakes to provide and increase basic knowledge on HIV transmission and prevention facts.

Good News Radio reported that the training is also to promote behaviour change intimate and create demand for information on HIV and TB from available services.

Lakes State HIV/AIDS Commission chairperson Priscilla Ayen in her opening remarks said the disease is real and its rate is high in our community.

She said it is their responsibility to help the communities in the whole state.

Director-General Dr Akim Makuer Gol, on behalf of the Ministry of Health appreciated the presence of the deputy governor, community and the team from Juba.

The health officials made these remarks to Good News Radio during the opening of four-day HIV awareness on Tuesday in Rumbek, Lakes State.
